Hi all,

As you know i’m not an Xbox fan, i’m strictly Sony but there are those out there who like the latest news so here is the latest image of the newly announced Xbox one.
xboxone

From what i’ve seen it has a few new features, probably the most important one it seems is it can run multiple apps at the same time, this means that you can chat to someone on Skype while watching TV, seems a bit rude to me. At the end of the day I buy a gaming console for one thing, to play games, believe it or not, if I want to watch TV I have a television set, still what do I know.

Anyway one of the new games announced was the new Call of Duty: Ghost, which also happens to be coming out on the PS3 as well, that surprised me, thought Microsoft would have had it exclusively for their new baby. Well that’s all your getting from me about the other guys, happy gaming.

Hi all,

Yeah, sorry for the delay in posting, got a bit carried away the last week. I did eventually get Resident Evil 6 platinum, then went straight on to playing a game called Sleeping Dogs. The reason I got this game was because it was free for playstation plus members, which I decided to get for 3 months, that cost me $17.99 and it’s already paid for itself as Sleeping Dogs were free but for others it’s $50 so a big saving there, and i’m glad I did get it, it’s a pretty cool game.

Sleeping Dogs is a cross between Godfather II and Grand Theft Auto and a few others, there is a good story line with a good ending (which makes a change) lots to do by way of side quests and missions, yet you can complete the game in a relatively short time, i’m two trophies away from platinum and have enjoyed playing it for about a week, maybe a bit less, but it’s got some replay value too, you could quite easily want to play it a second time, although you can get platinum in one playthrough.

Another aspect of this game I like (a lot) is the fighting, I don’t usually like fighting games but the action buttons are not too complicated and it’s fairly realistic, your an undercover cop who has to infiltrate the Triads, which you do quite successfully, and have a lot of fun with it. It can be a little glitchy in places and the graphics are not really fantastic but the gameplay is very good. I would say if you liked games like Just Cause, Godfather or Grand Theft Auto you’ll probably quite like this one.

I don’t recommend buying this one as it is fairly short, but definitely worth renting or borrowing, or if like me you tried being a playstation plus member it’s a free download, beware though, it is around 8 Gigs and can take a couple of hours to download. Happy Gaming !

Hi all,

Yep playing RE 6 on professional, taking me longer than I thought it would, have done Leon’s and Chris’s campaigns and am on chapter 5 of Jake’s campaign. Should be done with it over the next few days, then i’ll just play chapter select to get some of the hidden trophies and the serpent emblems that i’ve missed. It’s been a good game and i’ve even enjoyed playing some online mercenaries.

After this i’ll pop back to try and platinum my other outstanding games which are: Bioshock Infinite, Dead to Rights: Retribution and Rage, by the time i’m done with those hopefully there will be no more delays in the release of The Last Of Us.

Hope everyone else is enjoying their gaming experience, let me know what your playing, happy gaming.

Hi all,

After getting platinum for Hitman I decided to load up another two games, not new ones but good ones, first one is Rage and the second one is Dead To Rights:Retribution, i’m also playing Resident Evil 6 so i’m really trophy hunting while enjoying the games I love to play.

I’m also going to send off for Skyrim again, I got the platinum for that on my other account so this gives me another excuse to play this game again, it was a great game and i’m looking forward to playing it again.

Hoping to get The Last of Us in time for my birthday next month but if not i’ll look forward to playing it later in the year. One of my sons has taken over playing Hitman and when he’s finished with that then I think i’ll make some videos of the different challenges on that game. I would also like to make some videos of Skyrim as there are some good funny moments in that game, maybe do some voice overs to replace the actual dialogue with some fun stuff.

That’s all for now, hope everyone’s having fun with the games their playing.

Hi all,

Got caught up playing Hitman Absolution and i’m about 4 trophies shy of platinum, i’m actually playing the professional mode for that trophy then I just have to go through one more time to get the 100 challenges. This is my second playthrough and it’s still great fun, there are so many different ways to kill enemies. I really like the sniper rifle and enjoyed getting the 47 pro headshots.

If you get this game make sure you check out the challenges for each level as these give score multipliers and upgrades on your skills etc..Also online play is very fun, you create a contract (another trophy) and others can play your contracts and like them (another trophy), you can also compete in competitions using your contracts or your friends contracts. You can also check your scores against other players or friends to see how well or how badly you did.

The good thing about creating contracts and playing them online is that none are impossible as you have to play the contract yourself while your creating it, the harder you make it the more contract points/dollars you get, a fairly easy way to hit the $1,000,000 (another trophy). A great game with a great storyline and very fun to play. You can complete story in a day or so but if you really get into it you could spend days going through each level stealthily. If you don’t buy this one at least rent it, you will enjoy it tremendously.

Hi all,

Yep i’ve decided to play two games a day now, playing Resident Evil 6 during the evening and Hitman: Absolution during the day (time permitting). Hitman is a great game which has come a long way since the first one, good story, great graphics and many different ways to take enemies down keep it exciting. It’s a very easy game to get to grips with, by the time you’ve played the first tutorial part the setup is pretty good.

Resident Evil 6 was a pleasant surprise for me as I didn’t think I would enjoy it so much, the four separate stories from different members perspective really gives it variety, some are more easy than others but so far i’ve enjoyed every one. I’ve played Leon, then Chris, I just finished playing Jake today and started with Ada but i’m having a few problems with that, I’m sure i’ll sort it out eventually, lol.

Definitely two games worth your time, I think Hitman is going to be a fairly short game as I got 25% of trophies in just a couple of hours of play but it is good enough to go through a couple of times, i’m sure the professional options will make it much more difficult.

Well that’s all from me today, happy gaming.

Hi all,

Not too bad, took me four full playthrough’s to get the platinum, yes it should have only took me two but I enjoyed it so much I didn’t care too much, I harvested one too many little sisters so had to go through a fourth time, had a great time with it (again) and got me another platinum trophy, that’s 5 now, almost level 9.

Got Hitman: Absolution on its way so will be playing that one soon, also started playing Resident Evil 6 and am quite surprised at how much fun it is, trophy hunting in a big way at the moment and enjoying myself at the same time, can’t be bad. Won’t be getting anymore games after Hitman due to I really really really want to play The Last of Us so am hoping to finish all my games by 7th May so I can take my time on that one, maybe even make some more vids.

That’s all for now, hope you all are having fun with whatever games you are playing, happy gaming.

Hi all,

Yep I’ve decided to play the original Bioshock again as it came as bonus content with my pre-order of Bioshock Infinite. Played through on easy and it was too easy but it was good to be reminded of the different areas before tackling survivor mode. Not doing too bad and i’m surprised that i’m having more problems with the splicers than big daddy’s, lol.

Should be finished sometime over the next few days and playing on survivor mode should get me about half a dozen trophies pop at once, that will be fun. Once this is complete I will go back to Bioshock Infinite and try and platinum that one, all good fun, enjoying gaming at the moment.

Hi all,

Yes I loved this game, story mode was great, graphics pretty good and it was a fair challenge getting all the trophies, great game, really enjoyed it. I also started playing Bioshock Infinite which is going to be much harder to get the platinum, good game though, disappointed as i’ve said before about no multi-player but the story is pretty good, plenty of stuff to do that keeps it interesting, it’s definitely got the Bioshock feel about it, another great game so far.

I have completed the story once (on easy) and now i’m on my second playthrough. I did make a video of my first 10 minutes and was going to do more but by the time I uploaded my first 10 minute video there were 100 other videos online of the whole game :( The good part was that the video was a test run really to see how well it comes out and I was impressed, i’m looking forward to making more videos, just need to find a different angle so I don’t duplicate the 100′s of other players out there making videos.

All in all it’s been a good week, looking forward to playing some more soon, happy gaming.

Hi all,

Yes i’ve been playing the new Sniper game, looks like I may just platinum this one, two very hard trophies (at least for me anyway) are one online where you have to melee kill someone, use a sidearm to kill someone and snipe someone all in the same game, got all other online trophies. The other trophy I got to get is playing story on expert which i’m doing now and have completed the first act, there are three all together so am hopeful about getting the platinum for this one.

Only two days left until I get my Bioshock Infinite download and i’m really looking forward to that, shame there is no multiplayer as I enjoyed multiplayer on Bioshock 2, oh well, hope the story mode makes up for the loss of online play.

I did get my recording set up working but it’s a long process at the moment, the quality of video isn’t great but it’s pretty good, definitely good enough to do some walkthrough’s, chapters etc…I’m actually looking forward to making some decent videos for youtube of my gameplay, I haven’t been put off yet, even though my first video took 3hrs to put together 3 minutes of video, lol. I guess it’s a learning process before I get it right.

All eyes ready for 7th May for The Last of Us, that’s my next major game I really want to own, would love to do the video walkthrough for that one, looks amazing. Well that’s all from me today, happy gaming.

Tony :)
